Terms of Service for Collab

Effective Date: May 22, 2026

Welcome to Collab. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Collab, including our mobile app, website, features, content, tools, and related services.

By creating an account, accessing Collab, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Collab.

1. What Collab Does

Collab is a collaboration platform designed to help people create profiles, connect with others, communicate, share opportunities, manage projects, and coordinate work or creative activity. Features may include messaging, profiles, listings, notifications, saved content, recommendations, media uploads, and account management tools.

Collab may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time as we improve the product.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Collab. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Collab only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

By using Collab, you confirm that you can legally agree to these Terms and that you are not barred from using the service under applicable law.

3. Your Account

You may need to create an account to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, you should update your password and contact Collab support through the app.

You may not sell, transfer, or share access to your account in a way that misleads others or compromises the security of the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Collab to:

  • Break the law or encourage unlawful activity.
  • Harass, threaten, abuse, impersonate, or exploit another person.
  • Post or send hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, misleading, fraudulent, or harmful content.
  • Upload malware, spam, automated scripts, or content designed to interfere with the service.
  • Scrape, copy, or collect data from Collab without permission.
  • Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that you are not authorized to access.
  • Use Collab to infringe someone else’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, affiliation, services, or opportunities.

We may remove content, limit access, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for Collab, users, or third parties.

5. User Content

You may post, upload, send, or otherwise provide content through Collab, including profile information, messages, images, text, listings, comments, project details, and other materials.

You keep ownership of content you create. However, by providing content to Collab, you grant Collab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify, transmit, and use that content as needed to operate, improve, protect, and promote the service.

You are responsible for your content and must have the rights needed to share it. Collab does not endorse user content and is not responsible for content posted by users.

6. Communications Between Users

Collab may allow users to message, connect, collaborate, or exchange information. You are responsible for your interactions with other users.

Collab does not guarantee the identity, background, qualifications, availability, or intentions of any user. You should use judgment before sharing sensitive information, meeting in person, hiring, paying, or entering into any agreement with another user.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

Collab may offer paid features, subscriptions, promoted listings, credits, or other purchases. Prices, billing terms, renewal rules, and cancellation options will be shown before purchase.

If a purchase is made through an app store or third-party payment provider, that provider’s terms may apply. Subscription cancellations generally take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.

Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in the purchase terms.

8. Third-Party Services

Collab may integrate with third-party services such as analytics providers, payment processors, cloud hosting providers, app stores, maps, messaging tools, or authentication services.

We are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Intellectual Property

Collab, including its design, software, branding, logos, features, and content created by Collab, is owned by Collab or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, or lease any part of Collab unless allowed by law or authorized by us in writing.

10. Feedback

If you send ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or feedback, you allow Collab to use them without restriction or compensation. We appreciate feedback, but we are not required to treat it as confidential.

11. Service Availability

We work to keep Collab reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Collab may be affected by maintenance, updates, outages, device issues, network conditions, third-party services, or events outside our control.

12. Termination

You may stop using Collab at any time. You may also delete your account through the app if account deletion is available.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, used the service unlawfully, or misused Collab.

After termination, some sections of these Terms will continue to apply, including sections about user content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limits of liability, and disputes.

13. Disclaimers

Collab is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Collab does not guarantee that connections, collaborations, opportunities, projects, listings, messages, or recommendations will meet your expectations or produce any specific result.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Collab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or harm resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Collab’s total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Collab in the 12 months before the claim or 100 U.S. dollars.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Collab harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through Collab or by another reasonable method. Your continued use of Collab after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Contact

You can contact Collab through the support or help feature inside the Collab app.
