This Privacy Policy explains how Collab collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services.

By using Collab, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third-party services when you connect them to Collab.

Information You Provide

This may include:

  • Name, username, email address, phone number, password, and account credentials.
  • Profile details such as photo, bio, skills, interests, location, role, company, links, and preferences.
  • Content you create, upload, or share, including messages, posts, listings, project details, comments, images, files, and saved items.
  • Communications with Collab support.
  • Payment and purchase-related information, such as subscription status, transaction identifiers, and billing details processed by app stores or payment providers.
  • Feedback, survey responses, reports, and moderation requests.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use Collab, we may collect:

  • Device information, including device type, operating system, app version, browser type, language, and device identifiers.
  • Usage information, including pages viewed, features used, taps, searches, interactions, session activity, referring pages, and time spent in the app.
  • Log information, including IP address, access times, crash reports, diagnostics, and security events.
  • Approximate location based on IP address.
  • Precise location only if you allow Collab to access it through your device settings.

Information From Third Parties

We may receive information from:

  • Sign-in providers, such as Apple or Google, if you choose to use them.

  • Other users who invite you, tag you, message you, or interact with your content.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Some parts of Collab may be visible to other users or the public, depending on your settings and how you use the service. This may include your profile, name, photo, bio, posts, listings, comments, project information, availability, or other content you choose to share.

Messages and private collaboration spaces are intended for the people included in them, but recipients may save, copy, screenshot, or share information outside Collab. You should avoid sharing sensitive information unless you trust the recipient.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Collab may use cookies, local storage, mobile identifiers, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, understand usage, prevent fraud, and improve the service.

You may be able to limit cookies or tracking through your browser, device settings, or app permissions, but some features may not work properly if disabled.

6. Analytics and Advertising

We may use analytics tools to understand how Collab is used and improve the product. These tools may collect device, usage, and diagnostic information.

If Collab uses advertising or promoted content, we may use limited information to measure performance, prevent fraud, and show more relevant content. We do not use private messages for targeted advertising.

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Collab, operate our business, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain security.

If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account within a reasonable period, unless we need to retain certain information for legal, safety, fraud prevention, backup, or legitimate business reasons.

Some content may remain visible if it was shared with other users, included in collaborative spaces, copied by others, or retained in backups for a limited time.

You can update some information directly in the Collab app. You can also manage device permissions, such as camera, photos, notifications, contacts, and location, through your device settings.

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California privacy law, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Collab may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers, such as name, email address, username, phone number, IP address, and device identifiers.

  • Internet or electronic network activity, such as app usage, log data, and interactions.
  • Approximate or precise location information, depending on permissions.
  • Commercial information, such as purchase or subscription history.

Collab uses this information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal information for money. If future features involve sharing covered by California privacy law, we will provide required notices and choices.

Collab is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. These may include encryption, access controls, monitoring, secure infrastructure, and internal policies.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for using a secure device and network.
